Asbestos Project Management

Environmental Evaluation can assist your organisation in any remedial action required following any survey or register update work.  We can provide the expertise to guide you through the process and organise licensed asbestos removal contractors. Our process is transparent throughout with costings of all stages required.

The usual process is as follows:

• Write a scope of works based on the survey material risk assessments and abatement policy. Write contractor specification and schedule for the work.
• Project inception meeting: decide policy guidelines for asbestos abatement, ie. minimum requirements to make safe or more comprehensive programme.
• Invite competitive quotations from three approved licensed asbestos removal contractors for the works as agreed, following pre-qualification review.
• Arrange and attend on-site meeting with contractors for one day at the convenience of the Client.
• Review of tender returns and critical assessment of method statements, risk assessments and timetable to be provided by the removal contractor.
• Report to the Client with a summary tender review for the purpose of appointing a contractor.
• Convene pre-start meeting with the Client and appointed removal contractor to determine details of access, timetable, HSE and Stakeholder notification
• Provide site air testing, contractor monitoring and four-stage clearance testing for duration of works.
• Review and collate post contract documentation and provide completion report.
• Update asbestos register with abatement data.
