Occupational Hygiene
Occupational Hygiene is one of our principal areas of expertise. Environmental
Evaluation has a dedicated team of Qualified Occupational Hygienists who have extensive
experience in a wide range of industries; their expertise enables them to recognise, evaluate
and provide solutions to control risks associated with chemicals and physical agents in the
workplace.
-
Air Monitoring: We undertake air monitoring surveys to measure personal exposures and
background concentrations of hazardous substances in the workplace.
-
Noise Measurements: We perform noise measurements surveys and noise assessments to
assist employers in complying with the Noise at Work Regulations and the European Directive
on Physical Agents.
-
Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Testing: We offer a complete service to satisfy the
COSHH regulations requirements for a thorough examination and testing of Local Exhaust
Ventilation Systems.
-
LEV design and modification advice: As well as carrying out examinations and testing
we are able to assist in the design and build of new extraction systems.
-
LEV Design & Advice: We provide advisory and design support on new or existing LEV
systems, independent evaluation of LEV proposals and contractors and verification of the
efficacy of extraction systems.
-
COSHH Assessments: We undertake full risk assessments of substances that are hazardous
to health as per Regulation 6 of CoSHH. We also train and support you to carry out your
own assessments and to implement systems in-house.
-
Training: We offer a full range of bespoke training courses in the above services.
-
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ): As the built environment becomes more enclosed and more
complex, the number of incidents associated with ill-health, discomfort and spread of
malodours in the workplace have increased. We have excellent knowledge and experience
in assessing IAQ within buildings and in recommending improvements to minimise such
incidents.
