We undertake ergonomic assessments of DSE workstations, assembly operations, manual handling tasks etc using a qualified and experienced ergonomist.

Our ergonomic assessment process involves observing and documenting current task requirements, including:

 Personnel

  • Movements made
  • Posture adopted
  • Movement Frequency
  • Work periods (interaction with other employees)

Work Equipment

  • Interface with operator
  • Affecting factors e.g. noise, vibration
  • Appropriateness of design for the task being done

Work Environment

  • Temperature, noise, air quality, lighting
  • Layout, access

The findings are documented in department/ task-based assessments detailing the observations made, indication of risk factors and overall degree of risk.

The assessment results are reported along with practical advice on remedial measures and follow up training sessions for staff when required.
